Welcome to Equal2. By booking a 1:1 session or using our website, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.
Nature of Services
Equal2 provides 1:1 educational mentoring, specifically focusing on industrial design portfolio review and project design strategy.
No Guarantees: Our sessions are designed to bridge the gap between college education and objective industry expectations. However, we do not guarantee job placements, internships, or freelance contracts as a result of our mentoring.
Action-Oriented: The value of the session depends on your implementation of the feedback provided.
Bookings and Payments
Payment Processing: Currently, payments are collected manually via UPI/QR code. Your booking is only confirmed once we have successfully verified your 12-digit UTR/Transaction ID.
False Submissions: Any attempt to submit fake UTR numbers or forged screenshots will result in an immediate ban from Equal2 services.
Pricing: All prices are subject to change, but the price at the time of your confirmed booking will always be honored.
Rescheduling, Cancellations, and No-Shows
Because 1:1 sessions require us to block out dedicated time, we enforce a strict scheduling policy:
Rescheduling: You may reschedule your session up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time without penalty. Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the session will not be accepted.
Cancellations & Refunds: Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours are non-refundable.
No-Shows: If you are more than 10 minutes late to a scheduled session without prior notice, it is considered a no-show. The session will be canceled, and no refund will be issued.
Intellectual Property & Confidentiality
Your Ownership: You retain 100% ownership of the portfolio, projects, CAD files, and concepts you share with us during the session.
Equal2 Marketing & Educational Use: By participating in a session, you grant Equal2 a non-exclusive right to use non-confidential excerpts of your portfolio (such as "before and after" transformations, project layouts, or feedback case studies) across our website, social media, and educational materials. We use these examples to demonstrate the Equal2 process and motivate other students.
Confidentiality & NDAs: We understand the nature of industrial design. If a specific project in your portfolio is under an NDA, a college embargo, or is strictly confidential, you must notify us prior to or during the session. We will permanently exclude that specific work from any public marketing or promotional use.
Our Frameworks: The educational frameworks and methodologies (such as the "Approximation to Equalization" concept) provided by Equal2 are our intellectual property. You may use them for your career growth, but you may not record, distribute, or resell our session materials.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Equal2 and its founders shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost career opportunities or lost profits) arising from the use of our mentoring services.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
